COURSE INFORMATION
RuralBiz Training's Chemical Card Plus saves you money, time & is very convenient! New formats to update your chemical card accreditation are available including Online One & Distance Ed
Are you applying pesticides or using chemicals in your business? - Are you aware that you must be accredited or be liable for a fine or other penalty?
- This includes all agricultural chemical users – eg 1080, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, pour ons, backliners, fumigants and others.
- Did you know this accreditation must be renewed every 5 years to remain current?
- Is your chemical accreditation reaching its expiry date?
If so, our Chemical Card Plus course is designed to meet your needs.
Chemical Card Plus is a NEW UPGRADED course designed for farmers to meet the requirements for on farm chemical use efficiently and economically. It provides accreditation for pesticide users and is at AQF3 level – the level recommended for anyone applying pesticides unsupervised, eg farmers.
It includes the training required for the WorkCover NSW exemption order for on farm use of fumigants in grain silos and rabbit warrens and updated information about safe handling of 1080 baits.
Courses are run for initial training (if you have not previously done a farm chemical users course) and refresher training (if you are renewing your accreditation). Please click here to view online learning system requirements.
How is this course delivered?
1 - Online One
Start immediately! Go to RuralBiz Online click on Short Courses tab at top of page and choose Chemical Card Plus to register online and pay through PayPal.
Work at your own pace, at home at a time that suits you (self paced online). Completion of the course required within 30 days of registration.
Online One is currently only being offered as a Refresher at $145pp.
2 - Distance Ed
Receive a home study pack to work through at your own pace, at home at a time that suits you (correspondence). Simply click on the link below to register and we will get the homestudy pack in the mail to you.
Distance Ed is currently only being offered as a Refresher at $165pp.

3 - Online Group
Home study plus an online group workshop - Participants receive a home study pack, and complete 4 short tasks before attending an interactive online workshop with other participants across the state and trainer at home on your computer. Please look under our 'course schedule' tab for the next available workshop.

4 - Face to Face
In 2012, RuralBiz Training is running face to face Chemical workshops on demand. If you can get a group together of 12+ participants who need their chemical accreditation we will organise a workshop in your area. Face to Face workshops consist of home study plus attendance of a one day workshop for initial and a half day workshop for refresher.
